Magic Casements
Magic Casements III continued the fine tradition of Magic Casements I & II of being a very enjoyable day. The panels were varied (if you can't find variety in speculative fiction, where can you?), the speakers interesting (someone did say my talk was interesting, although that might just have been polite :) and some had travelled a substantial way specifically to attend the event (further than Sutherland, even). It was great to see everybody, to pick up a copy of Sean William's 'Blood Oath' (Books of the Cataclysm II)and sit in the sun on the veranda of the always magnificent NSW Writers Centre, nibbling chicken and discussing cathedrals we had climbed.
I don't know, I just love seeing that banner the Writer's Centre had made up billowing beside the gateway to the Rozelle complex. Add to that the articles in the March 'Newswrite' by all and sundry and it's just a really good little event.
