New Work: "The Character Assassin"
I am delighted to report that Schemers is now available from Stone Skin Press. This anthology of unadulterated skullduggery, in settings both classic and contemporary, contains Jess Bullington's excellent "The Devil's Tontine, "A Scandal With Bohemians" by Johnathan L. Howard, and my own "The Character Assassin", amongst many others.

Now is possibly the time to offer a free and open apology to my old Guild in the World of Warcraft MMORPG. It's true I don't play these days, but it would be grossly unfair for anyone reading my little story to infer that I left in anything resembling those circumstances. The fact is I baulked at the last expansion (yes, the one with the pandas), and decided I was better off spending my variously limited resources on such things as writing more stories. I know some people who make the combination work triumphantly, but not me, alas. I left my Blood Elf warlock frolicking with the dragons at Level 85 and my virtual comrades with no acrimony whatsoever.
If I can now relate to the resentful girlfriend, that is entirely my fault : )
