A Flawless Continuum
With a fortnight or so to go, Continuum 7 is shaping up nicely. Here are three items I find particularly interesting:
Dark Delights
Friday 10th at 11.00 pm, ironically in the Sun Space
Take your place on the chaise lounge, pop a chocolate and enjoy the recitals, readings and discussion. Just how can something horrific be depicted as beautiful?
Myself with Talie Helene and Kirstyn McDermott. I should like to emphasise that Talie will be singing, Kirstyn reading and myself performing an unpublished poem. I will also be making a not irrelevant announcement. Remember that entrance to the convention is FREE on Friday night!
What Rhymes With Corpse?
Saturday 11th at 10.00 am, ironically in the Harmony Room
Dare you enter the realm of horror poetry? In seeking out its hidden treasures, we might just disturb some things better left alone...
Myself, with Talie Helene, Earl Livings and Danny Lovecraft
DnD vs WoW
Sunday 12th at 11.00 am, symbolically in the Sun Space
Traditional roleplayers sit around a table with graph paper, books and dice. With computer games, you can adventure solo in a thousand different worlds or log in and adventure with people on the other side of the planet. But how do you house rules a computer game? Our panellists compare online and offline gaming.
David Crisp, Paul Poulton, Ben McKenzie and Jessica West, with myself.
The programme includes many other points of intrigue, including How To Sex Your Vampire, the fencing display and of course, the Maskobalo. Which I am near-ecstatic at having had no part in organising. See you there with veils on!
